WEBCASTの概要:

This webcast will provide a practical “How To” discussion of the rules and issues that practitioners and companies must face when appealing to the Federal Circuit such as:
How does the Court handle the many highly technical issues that come before it?
How is my panel drawn and when do they get the briefs?
Can I see the docket sheet for my appeal? What are the time limits for filing a notice of appeal and briefs? How important are the page limits and font/size requirements? Can I cite nonprecedential opinions? What happens when a brief does not comply with the rules? Where does my brief go once it is filed? What role does the Clerk’s Office play in deciding motions? These questions and many others will be answered as our panel presents a behind-the-scenes tour of the Court’s personnel and operations from the time the appeal is docketed to the day the mandate issues. Recent and proposed amendments to the Federal Circuit Internal Operating Procedures will also be addressed.
